ELD Architecture was formed by Erika Dodge in 2018 to provide thoughtful, site-specific design with an emphasis on custom residential projects throughout New England. Erika Dodge, AIA, LEED AP
Principal Architect

Erika Dodge is a Principal Architect with over 15 years of experience designing thoughtful, site-driven residential architecture. She holds both an undergraduate degree and a Master of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and has practiced in Maine, Vermont, and California. Her work is rooted in a collaborative design process, creating custom homes that are deeply connected to their landscapes and thoughtfully tailored to the way her clients live.
Drawn by a love of the mountains, Erika and her husband, Luke, relocated to Tahoe City, where she focused her career on custom residential architecture while working at Walton Architecture and Engineering. Eventually returning to the East Coast, Erika and Luke chose to settle in Vermont to pursue an idyllic live–work–play lifestyle close to family. Together, they designed and built their home.
Erika founded ELD Architecture in 2018, and in 2022, she was recognized as one of New England Home Magazine’s 5 Under 40 winners, spotlighting the finest emerging talent in New England’s residential design industry.[ED1] Erika is a licensed architect in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York, and is NCARB certified. Outside the studio, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their Golden Retriever.
Kristen Trottier, NCIDQ
Interior Designer

Kristen is an NCIDQ-certified interior designer with over a decade of experience creating thoughtful, human-centered spaces. She has worked on residential, hospitality, corporate, and restaurant projects, blending functionality with a strong sense of design.
With a BFA in Interior Design, Kristen brings a balanced approach, combining creativity and precision to every project. She is passionate about incorporating natural elements and designing environments that enhance well-being.
A native Vermonter, Kristen enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog, tending to her garden, and getting lost in a good book.
Allison Stoltze, LEED AP
Project Manager

Allison Stoltze brings a diverse and well-rounded background to ELD Architecture, with experience spanning residential renovations, large public schools, and work in both design and construction-focused environments. She particularly enjoys working closely with clients to refine program, spatial relationships, and construction details, with a strong focus on sustainability.
Allison earned her Master of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology and began her career as a sustainability coordinator for a commercial contractor outside of Boston. She later relocated to Boulder, Colorado, where she worked surveying National Park buildings and contributing to National Park concession proposals. After returning to the East Coast, Allison has worked at architecture firms in both Massachusetts and Vermont.
Outside the studio, Allison enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. She can often be found mountain biking, skiing, running, or hiking.
Madeleine Young
Architectural Designer

Madeleine comes to ELD Architecture with a background in sustainability, fine art, and hands-on building experience. She studied Environmental Studies and Studio Art at St. Lawrence University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at Rochester Institute of Technology. After relocating to Vermont nearly a decade ago, Madeleine worked in the solar industry, installing and project managing both residential and commercial systems.
Outside of work, Madeleine enjoys skiing, mountain biking, painting landscapes, and spending time at the stables. She is also an active member of her community, serving as a volunteer firefighter. Her background in firefighting and solar greatly inspired her path to architecture, reinforcing the importance of thoughtful, resilient design.
